On September 7th and 8th was held the ELITE New Talents Seminar in Copenhagen. This event was intended for junior staff members of the ELITE member companies. All young researchers were invited to submit papers on the topic "Sustainable Transport and Logistics Solutions". Together six papers were gathered and authors had opportunity to present their ideas. Everybody had 30 minutes for presentation and another 20 minutes for discussion and answering the questions. The seminar began the chairman of organizing institution with opening speech. First researcher was Libor Krejci (Transport Research Centre) with a paper "Solution of logistic activities by an ICT network of brokers". Another two young researchers presented their papers the first day. Eric Thoré (AFT- IFTIM) presented his paper focused on multimodal transportation using Mediterranean Sea and the working session closed Marcin Hajdul (ILIM) with presentation of his paper "Rationalization of transport process according to concept of sustainable development". Immensely interesting part of each presentation was consequent discussion with senior members of the ELITE. Members of jury shared their ideas and different views form their countries as well as projects they had an experience with. After official closure of the first day came nice surprise. All participants were invited to join a cruise ship around Copenhagen. The trip lasted nearly two hours and was great success thanks to the experienced English speaking guide.

Another day was reserved for last three participants. First one was Tiana Suominen (Ramboll) with a paper "Transportation demand management" which was full of very inspirational public transport solutions. The second was Eleftheria Tzimogianni (SYSTEMA) with a paper "Rail freight transport in Europe: Bottlenecks for development to promote it" and the seminar closed Andrea Tedeschi (Gruppo CLAS) with a worthy paper "European maritime space without barriers: a cost benefit analysis approach in the impact assessment".

After the jury consultation was awarded first prize. The winner is Eleftheria Tzimogianni. The jury found her work most comprehensive and most in depth. Eleftheria can look forward to a paid trip to one of the world’s most important conference. However, all participants gained valuable experiences and new ideas for their future work.
